The best way to accelerate the protection of the ocean is through creating deeper connections with nature through art" -Robert Wyland, artist & conservationist
There are 7 species of sea turtles and ALL are threatened with extinction. They are capable of living long lives, some reaching 70 yrs or more. Unfortunately, only about 1 in 1,000 turtle eggs will become adult turtles. Sadly, their biggest threat is from people!
Sea turtles are capable of huge migrations between their feeding grounds and nesting beaches. Migrating thousands of miles, assisted by their internal magnetic map, sea turtles use the sun and the Earth’s magnetic field to guide them.
Let‘s work to ensure their continued survival!
