This seabird has a wingspan of up to 8 ft. They spend most of their life at sea, returning to land only to breed.

Despite protective covering on my camera gear, sand granules still managed to find a way inside my camera, requiring professional cleaning upon my return home. Adverse weather conditions can be a challenge but it often results in more dramatic images.
